This is a presentation where you are being asked to take a look back and a look forward at the history of gas turbine sea salt problems and solutions. The implication is made that the major part of these problems now have solutions. It is believed that major efforts in sea salt sampling and separator evaluation can be greatly curtailed but not cut off. Gas turbine testing with realistically simulated sea salt ingestion must continue undiminished.
