Abstract

A problem of plate and shell surface optimisation has been formulated and solved. The corresponding theorem has been stated and proved. An algorithm for an optimal surface search has been proposed and its reliability has been discussed. Three examples have illustrated both the introduced theory and the numerical algorithm.
