The fatigue test of stranded wires helical springs is the key process in terms of its performance testing. These springs used in some important equipments like automatic weapons and aeroengines are usually subjected to the impact load, when springs usually lose efficacy because of fatigue. Therefore, the assessment of impacting fatigue performance is necessary for stranded wires helical springs. Our research group has developed an impacting fatigue test device for stranded wires helical springs and the function is mainly achieved by PLC controlling the mass move reciprocatingly. The test results show that this device can accurately simulate the practical working...
