This paper presents some of the results achieved with a 2000 lb/hr supercritical pilot plant after 5000 hours of operation. Data on water side conditioning and the effect of final steam temperature on corrosion rate are presented. The paper also describes a successful automatic control system which was developed. Tests and test results from control runs are presented and it is shown how these results can be applied to the design of central station once-through steam generator control systems.
