This paper discusses the design of a lunar-based power plant powered entirely by solar radiation. Factors affecting power plant design and a discussion of a performance basis for a working fluid are also presented. Graphs and equations which illustrate theory, optimize results, and demonstrate inter-component relationships are included. Also, a design for a novel, compact power plant is introduced.
